We are looking for several experienced Wipers for a short-term temporary assignment as part of the Dry Dock Riding Team on board the cruise vessel AZAMARA QUEST . - Position: Wiper - Vessel: AZAMARA QUEST - Embarkation: 31 October 2026 - Contract: 1 month - Assignment: Dry Dock Riding Team - Requirements: All valid and up-to-date STCW and other relevant certificates, with suitable experience for the position. - Schengen Visa: Candidates who do not currently hold a valid Schengen visa will be required to obtain one prior to embarkation Interested and available candidates are kindly invited to submit their updated CV and valid certificates for consideration. General Duties – Dry Dock Deck Riding Team - Engine Maintenance: Painting, scraping, surface preparation, and general maintenance.. - General Dry Dock Duties: Assist with various engine maintenance and repair activities as required during the dry dock period, following the instructions of the Engine Department and shipyard management. Position Summary - Responsible to carry out daily maintenance and cleaning of engine spaces, machinery and mechanical equipment as directed by the Engineer in charge. Reporting Structure - Reporting to the Staff Engineer and on duty Engineer. Safety Duties: - Participates in crew safety drills according to instructions. - Must always comply with the Company’s safety and pollution prevention regulations and operating procedures. - Leads by example by taking care of Health and Safety of self and others. - Ensures that all work equipment, personal protective equipment, chemicals and safety devices are being used correctly. Education/Experience/Qualifications: - Valid STCW 95 certification. - Valid Engine Watch Rating certification A-III/4. - Good knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, operation and maintenance of vessel machinery and mechanical equipment. - Experience with stripping engines down and rebuilding. - Experience on vessels in an equivalent position. - Physically and medically fit. - Moral integrity is required. Language requirements: Excellent fluent English (verbal, written and technical). English is the working and safety language on board. This also includes the ability to give and receive instructions in verbal and written forms and to effectively and efficiently engage with guests and crew members. Additional languages are considered beneficial. Physical Demands and Working Conditions: Required to stand, walk long distances, reaching and sitting. Repetitive motion of bending, going up and down stairs, climbing ladders. Lifting or pushing of up to 50lbs. The position requires overtime work and irregular schedules. Works in the Engine Control Room, Engine spaces with noise, light traffic, distracting environments. Profile: - Punctual. - Proactive approach to problem solving. - Ability to be flexible, well organized, self managed and motivated. - Ability to handle multiple demands, remain calm and effective under pressure and resolve issues quickly. - Safe, professional and personal practices. Well acquainted with VMS and MLC requirements. - Well-groomed and neat appearance. - Ability to work in confined spaces. - Ability to live in close quarters, share limited space with cabin mates. - Ability to deliver a high standard of technical performance. Status - Rating. Salary - Refer to contract. Rotation - Refer to contract.
