Join OSM Thome as Chief Officer on a general cargo vessel trading worldwide. Take a leading role on deck, support safe and efficient ship operations, and work closely with the Master and crew. - Key responsibilities: - Lead deck crew and oversee all cargo operations - Plan and supervise loading, stowage, securing and discharging of cargo - Monitor vessel stability, draft, trim and stress - Ensure safe navigation during assigned watches - Maintain deck equipment and safety, firefighting and lifesaving appliances - Implement and follow company safety and environmental procedures (ISM/ISPS) - Assist the Master with shipboard administration and drills - Requirements: - Valid Chief Officer (Unlimited) license - Experience as C/O or strong 2/O experience on general cargo or similar vessels - Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness - Strong cargo handling and planning skills - Good English communication skills - Proactive attitude to safety and teamwork
