On behalf of Mano Maritime Ltd., OSM Thome is seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Chief Housekeeper to support the Chief Housekeeper in the effective management of all housekeeping operations onboard. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, safety, and guest satisfaction while ensuring compliance with company policies and maritime regulations. Key Responsibilities: Housekeeping Operations: - Assist the Chief Housekeeper in planning, organizing, and supervising the daily housekeeping operation. - Coordinate the allocation of cabins, public areas, and work assignments to housekeeping personnel. - Monitor and inspect guest cabins, corridors, public areas, crew accommodations, laundry facilities, and storage areas to ensure cleanliness standards are consistently maintained. - Ensure all housekeeping services, including turn-down service and special cleaning requests, are delivered efficiently and professionally. - Oversee linen management, laundry operations, and inventory control processes. - Ensure proper handling of guest belongings, lost and found procedures, and cabin access controls. Quality, Safety & Compliance: - Ensure all housekeeping activities comply with company procedures, safety requirements, sanitation standards, and applicable maritime regulations. - Promote safe work practices and proper use of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and materials. - Report and follow up on maintenance issues, damaged equipment, and other operational concerns. - Escalate guest-related incidents and operational issues to the Chief Housekeeper or Hotel Management as required. Inventory & Administration - Assist with ordering housekeeping supplies and consumables. - Conduct regular stock counts and inventory checks of linen, amenities, and housekeeping equipment. - Maintain accurate reports, records, and documentation related to housekeeping operations. Team Leadership & Training: - Support the supervision, training, and development of housekeeping team members. - Monitor performance standards and provide coaching to ensure service excellence. - Assist with onboarding and continuous training initiatives for housekeeping personnel. Guest Experience: - Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and concerns. - Contribute to delivering a positive guest experience through exceptional housekeeping standards and customer service. - Assist in resolving guest complaints and special requests when required. Additional Duties: - Participate in embarkation and disembarkation activities as required. - Perform other duties assigned by the Chief Housekeeper, Hotel Manager, or company management. Qualifications & Requirements: - Previous experience in an Assistant Chief Housekeeper, Assistant Housekeeper, or similar supervisory housekeeping role onboard passenger vessels, cruise ships, ferries, or within the hospitality industry. - Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, laundry management, hygiene practices, and quality standards. - Valid STCW Basic Safety Training certification (preferred or required as applicable). - Good command of written and spoken English. - Excellent organizational, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and fast-paced environment. - Strong attention to detail and commitment to service excellence.
