Join OSM Thome as Chief Engineer on a bulk carrier trading worldwide. Lead the engine department, keep all machinery running safely and efficiently, and support safe, reliable vessel operations across global trade routes. Key responsibilities - Oversee, operate and maintain all engine room and auxiliary machinery - Plan and supervise maintenance, repairs and inspections - Manage engine room crew, work schedules and safety procedures - Monitor fuel and lube oil consumption and ordering - Ensure compliance with class, flag, company and environmental rules - Maintain engine room records, reports and documentation - Support bridge team for safe and economical vessel operation Requirements - Valid Chief Engineer license (unlimited) suitable for bulk carriers - Sea service experience as C/E or strong 1/E background on bulk carriers - Good knowledge of main engine, auxiliaries and ship systems - Up-to-date STCW certificates and valid medical - Strong leadership, communication and safety mindset - Good English, spoken and written
Cerințe
