Fitter (FTR) – Bulkcarrier – Marshall Islands flag **Description** Fitter required for bulkcarrier under Marshall Islands flag, trading worldwide. Candidate will work as part of the engine team, carrying out steel repairs, pipe work, welding and general maintenance as directed by senior engineers. Joining port: China. **Key Responsibilities** - Carry out steel fabrication, cutting, grinding and fitting jobs in engine room and on deck - Perform welding and gas-cutting work as per safety standards - Assist with maintenance and repair of ship’s machinery and piping systems - Support engine room routines, cleaning and upkeep of workshops and tools - Follow all safety procedures and permit-to-work systems **Requirements** - Minimum 1 year sea service as Fitter or similar role on seagoing vessels - Total sea service: 5 years - At least 36 months as Engine Rating, including: - 12 months as Motorman - 6 months on same type of vessel - Age between 25–55 years - Experience on bulkcarrier preferred - Able to read and work from technical drawings and follow instructions from engineering officers - Valid seagoing documents and certificates as per international and flag state requirements
