The Engine Cadet is a temporary training position with Royal Caribbean Group focused on gaining shipboard knowledge, sea time, and practical experience aligned with STCW requirements. The cadet works under the supervision of the Chief Engineer Junior, participating in engine room operations, maintenance activities, safety drills, and completing mandatory training and familiarization forms. The primary goal is to develop the skills necessary for progression to higher engineering ranks.
Cerințe
- Basic Safety Training certificate (STCW) - Enrolled as a student in a recognized nautical school training program - Ability to speak English clearly, distinctly, and cordially with guests - Ability to read and write English to understand procedures, give/receive instructions, and communicate effectively with guests, supervisors, and co-workers - Regularly required to stand, walk, handle equipment, reach, talk, hear, and smell - Must be able to occasionally, frequently, or continually lift and/or move up to 50 pounds - Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, with the ability to adjust focus - Must be physically capable of participating in emergency life-saving procedures and drills, including handling lifeboats, with full use of arms, legs, and sensory functions
