Set sail as 3rd Engineer (3/E) on a chemical tanker trading worldwide with OSM Thome. You will work in an experienced engine team, keeping all machinery running safely and efficiently while gaining solid hands-on sea time and career growth. Key responsibilities - Assist in safe and efficient operation of main engine, auxiliaries and engine room systems - Carry out routine watchkeeping, monitoring and recording engine parameters - Perform planned maintenance and basic troubleshooting on mechanical and electrical equipment - Follow safety and pollution prevention procedures at all times - Support bunkering, cargo operations and emergency drills as required - Report defects, maintenance needs and near-miss incidents to senior engineers Requirements - Valid 3rd Engineer (III/1 or higher) CoC, suitable for chemical tankers - Previous experience on tankers preferred; chemical tanker background is an advantage - Valid STCW certificates, including tanker and basic safety courses - Good English communication skills, written and spoken - Medically fit for sea service with valid seafarer medical certificate - Team player with a strong safety mindset and willingness to learn
